Framed Maps?

Images via Pinterest

I'm really loving the idea of framed maps at the moment and have actually gone as far as to buy a map print for my flat. I first got the idea when I saw this in Ikea, I can't really afford to spend £100 on a picture though, plus its huge and we wouldn't really have anywhere to put it. It's not quite vintage enough looking either, so I forgot about that idea for a while until some map print wrapping paper caught my eye in Waterstones. For some reason I didn't buy it when I first saw it and I really wish I had now. I wanted a map of the world print but when I returned to buy it a few weeks later they only had a map of London left. I bought it anyway though, now I just need to buy a frame. I think I'm just going to go for a plain black one to match the other ones in our flat, I love some of the fancy ones above but I reckon they'd be pretty expensive in the size I need.

David doesn't seem so keen on my framed map idea, I think he thinks I'm a bit weird. He did say he didn't mind me putting it up though as long as he can have a TV for the bedroom - well if he's paying!!?

P.S. Don't you just love those heart shaped maps - I think it would be so sweet to put a map of somewhere special to you in one of those frames.

Wednesday Wishes

Necklace - £12 - ASOS

An affordable wish this week - loving this cute little necklace from ASOS. I love delicate jewellery like this, especially when it's paired with something more on trend. I think I might be buying this one come pay day.

Meet Batman

Just wanted to introduce everyone to my mums adopted rabbit - Batman. Yes it's a bit of a silly name but he was one of a pair, Batman and Robin. He used to belong to my sisters friend's little boy and that's who named him. Unfortunately him and Robin didn't get on very well so my family ended up adopting him. He's been a house rabbit his whole life so he's really tame and will happily sit on your knee and hop around the living room, although my dad has built him a run in the garden because he felt sorry for him being all cooped up inside. Isn't he sweet...
