My Beauty Essentials - Fast & Fruity Nail Polish Remover

I'm thinking of making 'My Beauty Essentials' into a mini series, just so I can show you lovely lot some of the beauty products that I've been loving lately. First on the list is this Fast & Fruity nail polish remover, it's similar to this nail polish remover from Bourjois, which costs £4.99. I find that pretty steep for a nail polish remover - especially when this baby will do the job for only 85p!

Nail Polish Remover - Home Bargains

This product comes in a small tub with a sponge inside, there's a slit cut through the middle of the sponge to stick your finger in. All you have to do is twizzle your finger around a bit and voila, your nail polish is gone! I've found that this is much better than the traditional cotton wool method, the sponge is pretty abrasive so is really effective at removing polish. It's pretty good on glitter polish too, I find that it breaks it down much quicker than other nail polish removers. It's also acetone free so can be used on false nails.

The only downside to this is that it gets dirty quite quickly, if you wear a lot of dark coloured polish it'll need replacing pretty quickly, though as it's so cheap that doesn't really matter. It also absolutely stinks, this one is supposed to be peach flavoured but there is nothing peachy about it. It has me gagging and coughing if I leave it open too long - I wonder if the Bourjois version smells any better. Oh, and don't try and stick your toes in there - it doesn't work, this product is strictly for fingers only!

Get what I want 'cause I ask for it.

Jumper - Tesco | Leggings - Missguided | Necklace - H&M

I just wanted to introduce my new jumper - I've been on the lookout for one like this for ages. I did see one in Topshop that was pretty similar, but a bit thicker and longer, I just couldn't bear to part with £40 for something that I knew I wouldn't wear that often. I really don't like big thick jumpers, they just make me feel really bulky so this thinner version from Tesco is ideal. It was a bit of a naughty purchase, I went in there for bread and milk on Saturday night and ended up spending £30. I'm completely skint as well but I just couldn't resist. I managed to convince myself that because I haven't shopped in ages and have been really good that I deserved a treat. Not sure my boyfriend agreed haha - we're sharing a wardrobe and my clothes are definitely taking over!

Sparkly Saturday.

Nails: Tecnick in Carnival & NYC in Pinstripe White | Ring - George at Asda

We finally have the internet - so I'm back for good.  These are this weekends nails - I can't get enough of this Tecnick nail polish, its just so sparkly and girly, I'd quite happily wear it every day. Its just a shame that its such a nightmare to remove! I've been wearing it over pastel shades mainly - the multicoloured glitter really stands out against lighter shades. I also love how it was only 99p - much cheaper than its twin OPI Rainbow Connection!

Anyway, hope you're all having super exciting Saturday nights. My boyfriend is out for the night so I'm in all on my own - think I might tackle the massive pile of ironing that's been mounting up all week!

Flowers and leather.

Dress - Primark | Scarf - Accessorize | Jacket - Miss Selfridge | Necklaces - H&M and Topshop

I'm finally back with an outfit post, not a particularly exciting one though. I wore this to go furniture shopping yesterday - we're so domestic. We were looking for a coffee table for the flat but didn't manage to find one. We did only end up going to about four shops though.

We're pretty much all moved in now, I've got a few more bits to get from my mums house and that's it. Hopefully lots of photos of the flat coming up soon.

Home Sweet Home

Image via we heart it

Hi! Remember me? Sorry for being a bit missing in action lately - I've been moving house. And I'm still not done - we got the keys last Sunday. We've planned in this whole weekend to get everything moved though. We're not getting the internet until the 24th I think so posting will be a bit sporadic until then - I do have a dongle but its the slowest connection ever. Hopefully I'll get some photos of the new flat up soon. Until then I'll leave you with what is quite possibly the most beautiful room I've ever seen! So pink and girly - don't think David would let me do out our bedroom like this though!!
