Don't Listen to a Word I Say.

Shirt - George at Asda | Vest - H&M | Jeans - Topshop | Shoes - Topshop | Bracelets - Pandora/Random Markets | Watch - Fossil

The title is from my current favourite song - Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks. I was watching some of the coverage of Reading Festival at the weekend and heard it for the first time. I haven't stopped listening to it since.

Anyway, a rare outfit post, aren't I a rubbish blogger. I just never seem to wear anything worthy of a photo lately though. But I'm off work today and I'm off out for a meal tonight so I should get dressed up enough to take a photo haha! I wore this outfit to go to Pizza Express for a catch up with the girls last night. I bought these jeans last year when coloured jeans were 'in' and I have to say I find them so hard to style. I couldn't squeeze myself into an 8 so had to buy a 10 and they fall down all the time. Probably another reason why I never really wear them.

Anyway I'm off to enjoy my day off, even though its raining in lovely Stockton-on-Tees.

Framed Maps?

Images via Pinterest

I'm really loving the idea of framed maps at the moment and have actually gone as far as to buy a map print for my flat. I first got the idea when I saw this in Ikea, I can't really afford to spend £100 on a picture though, plus its huge and we wouldn't really have anywhere to put it. It's not quite vintage enough looking either, so I forgot about that idea for a while until some map print wrapping paper caught my eye in Waterstones. For some reason I didn't buy it when I first saw it and I really wish I had now. I wanted a map of the world print but when I returned to buy it a few weeks later they only had a map of London left. I bought it anyway though, now I just need to buy a frame. I think I'm just going to go for a plain black one to match the other ones in our flat, I love some of the fancy ones above but I reckon they'd be pretty expensive in the size I need.

David doesn't seem so keen on my framed map idea, I think he thinks I'm a bit weird. He did say he didn't mind me putting it up though as long as he can have a TV for the bedroom - well if he's paying!!?

P.S. Don't you just love those heart shaped maps - I think it would be so sweet to put a map of somewhere special to you in one of those frames.

Wednesday Wishes

Necklace - £12 - ASOS

An affordable wish this week - loving this cute little necklace from ASOS. I love delicate jewellery like this, especially when it's paired with something more on trend. I think I might be buying this one come pay day.

Meet Batman

Just wanted to introduce everyone to my mums adopted rabbit - Batman. Yes it's a bit of a silly name but he was one of a pair, Batman and Robin. He used to belong to my sisters friend's little boy and that's who named him. Unfortunately him and Robin didn't get on very well so my family ended up adopting him. He's been a house rabbit his whole life so he's really tame and will happily sit on your knee and hop around the living room, although my dad has built him a run in the garden because he felt sorry for him being all cooped up inside. Isn't he sweet...

Better by design

Blouse - H&M | Trousers - River Island | Belt - Primark | Shoes - Matalan | Necklace - Paper & Chain

Finally an outfit post - I wore this outfit to go on a course for work on Tuesday, except I changed the trousers to take these photos, these are far too tight to wear for work, I can hardly do them up, and they make my hips look pretty big.

The necklace was a Christmas present from my Boyfriend - I tweeted about how much I loved everything from Paper & Chain about a month before Christmas and this lovely necklace, along with a matching pair of earrings turned up in my stocking on Christmas day. Isn't he good!?

Anyway, I'm off to wash up, we had tacos for tea which were a bit of a fail - I don't think I've ever eaten anything so messy!!

Wednesday Wishes

Jacket - £58 - Topshop

How quickly does Wednesday come round! Making me realise how crap I am at blogging lately, I only ever seem to post twice a week. I do work a 45 hour week though and when I get home I'm usually knackered and blogging is the last thing on my mind! But I shall try harder as blogging is something I really enjoy.

Anyway, this lovely lovely jacket is at the top of my lust list this week. I went for a wander round Stockton on my day off on Monday (mainly for a look around the charity shops, which turned out to be a bit rubbish) and ended up trying this on in Topshop. I tried on the petite version, not sure why because even though I'm only 5ft2 I never shop in the petite section - I find everything to be stupidly short. Lo and behold the petite version was stupidly short but the fur around the collar was so soft that I just fell in love with it. Come pay day I think I'll be splurging on the regular version.

I did see a similar jacket in Primark a couple of weeks ago, the only difference was that the Primark version had quilted sleeves, and really regret not buying it now as it was only £25, less than half the price of this one. When I popped back in last week though it was gone! Lets just hope they get it back in stock soon!!

Studded Slippers

Shoes - £10 - Matalan

I've been after a pair of these type of shoes for ages (see my post here). While these are not exactly the beautiful Jeffrey Campbells I posted about they will most definitely do, especially since I only spent £10 on them. Bargain!!
