Autumn Florals

Dress - George at Asda | Boots - Topshop

Just a simple outfit today, I decided to dress for autumn because it's looking pretty autumnal outside now, the tree outside our window has started to turn brown (though the others on the street are still green, perhaps its dying) and it chucked it down today, I actually wore my winter coat to go out earlier!

I've had to find a new photo taking spot as David put a TV on the wall where I used to take pictures. Not that I'm complaining as its lovely curling up in bed with the telly on, its just there's nowhere in this flat to take photos at all!!

Gold Sparkly Jumper

Jumper - Primark | Jeans - Topshop | Shoes - Vivienne Westwood

Just a quick outfit post today - my usual photo space has been taken over by a TV so I'm on the lookout for somewhere new. I bought this jumper in Primark last week for £12 - the only problem is though that the metallic threads get caught on everything and it's ended up pulled all over the place. Rubbish!!

I can't believe I've never worn these shoes on my blog before (please excuse the dust on them in the photo, they seem to attract it since they're quite rubbery). I've had them for ages and don't get as much wear out of them as I should considering the price tag. I bought them online and went for a size three, I should have gone for a four really as they squeeze my feet so badly!! But on the plus side they smell like chocolate haha!

Don't Listen to a Word I Say.

Shirt - George at Asda | Vest - H&M | Jeans - Topshop | Shoes - Topshop | Bracelets - Pandora/Random Markets | Watch - Fossil

The title is from my current favourite song - Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks. I was watching some of the coverage of Reading Festival at the weekend and heard it for the first time. I haven't stopped listening to it since.

Anyway, a rare outfit post, aren't I a rubbish blogger. I just never seem to wear anything worthy of a photo lately though. But I'm off work today and I'm off out for a meal tonight so I should get dressed up enough to take a photo haha! I wore this outfit to go to Pizza Express for a catch up with the girls last night. I bought these jeans last year when coloured jeans were 'in' and I have to say I find them so hard to style. I couldn't squeeze myself into an 8 so had to buy a 10 and they fall down all the time. Probably another reason why I never really wear them.

Anyway I'm off to enjoy my day off, even though its raining in lovely Stockton-on-Tees.

Framed Maps?

Images via Pinterest

I'm really loving the idea of framed maps at the moment and have actually gone as far as to buy a map print for my flat. I first got the idea when I saw this in Ikea, I can't really afford to spend £100 on a picture though, plus its huge and we wouldn't really have anywhere to put it. It's not quite vintage enough looking either, so I forgot about that idea for a while until some map print wrapping paper caught my eye in Waterstones. For some reason I didn't buy it when I first saw it and I really wish I had now. I wanted a map of the world print but when I returned to buy it a few weeks later they only had a map of London left. I bought it anyway though, now I just need to buy a frame. I think I'm just going to go for a plain black one to match the other ones in our flat, I love some of the fancy ones above but I reckon they'd be pretty expensive in the size I need.

David doesn't seem so keen on my framed map idea, I think he thinks I'm a bit weird. He did say he didn't mind me putting it up though as long as he can have a TV for the bedroom - well if he's paying!!?

P.S. Don't you just love those heart shaped maps - I think it would be so sweet to put a map of somewhere special to you in one of those frames.

Necklace - £12 - ASOS

An affordable wish this week - loving this cute little necklace from ASOS. I love delicate jewellery like this, especially when it's paired with something more on trend. I think I might be buying this one come pay day.

Meet Batman

Just wanted to introduce everyone to my mums adopted rabbit - Batman. Yes it's a bit of a silly name but he was one of a pair, Batman and Robin. He used to belong to my sisters friend's little boy and that's who named him. Unfortunately him and Robin didn't get on very well so my family ended up adopting him. He's been a house rabbit his whole life so he's really tame and will happily sit on your knee and hop around the living room, although my dad has built him a run in the garden because he felt sorry for him being all cooped up inside. Isn't he sweet...

Better by design

Blouse - H&M | Trousers - River Island | Belt - Primark | Shoes - Matalan | Necklace - Paper & Chain

Finally an outfit post - I wore this outfit to go on a course for work on Tuesday, except I changed the trousers to take these photos, these are far too tight to wear for work, I can hardly do them up, and they make my hips look pretty big.

The necklace was a Christmas present from my Boyfriend - I tweeted about how much I loved everything from Paper & Chain about a month before Christmas and this lovely necklace, along with a matching pair of earrings turned up in my stocking on Christmas day. Isn't he good!?

Anyway, I'm off to wash up, we had tacos for tea which were a bit of a fail - I don't think I've ever eaten anything so messy!!

Wednesday Wishes

Jacket - £58 - Topshop

How quickly does Wednesday come round! Making me realise how crap I am at blogging lately, I only ever seem to post twice a week. I do work a 45 hour week though and when I get home I'm usually knackered and blogging is the last thing on my mind! But I shall try harder as blogging is something I really enjoy.

Anyway, this lovely lovely jacket is at the top of my lust list this week. I went for a wander round Stockton on my day off on Monday (mainly for a look around the charity shops, which turned out to be a bit rubbish) and ended up trying this on in Topshop. I tried on the petite version, not sure why because even though I'm only 5ft2 I never shop in the petite section - I find everything to be stupidly short. Lo and behold the petite version was stupidly short but the fur around the collar was so soft that I just fell in love with it. Come pay day I think I'll be splurging on the regular version.

I did see a similar jacket in Primark a couple of weeks ago, the only difference was that the Primark version had quilted sleeves, and really regret not buying it now as it was only £25, less than half the price of this one. When I popped back in last week though it was gone! Lets just hope they get it back in stock soon!!

Studded Slippers

Shoes - £10 - Matalan

I've been after a pair of these type of shoes for ages (see my post here). While these are not exactly the beautiful Jeffrey Campbells I posted about they will most definitely do, especially since I only spent £10 on them. Bargain!!

Parasailing

Some photos of us parasailing in Cyprus - it seems like forever ago now but it was only in May. I've done it before on a girls holiday in Ibiza and enjoyed it so much that I needed to do it again. David however wasn't so keen and it took a lot of persuading to get him up there! I would have done it on my own if he couldn't have been persuaded though. If you ever get the chance to do this then go for it, its so exhilarating and the views from up that high are amazing!!

Wednesday Wishes

I spotted this gorgeous playsuit while browsing the River Island website and fell in love with it. I'm going on holiday again in October and this would be perfect to wear on an evening. Let's just hope it goes in the sale before then because I really can't stretch to £50 at the moment!

Lilac Midi Dress

Dress - Topshop | Belt - Primark | Shoes - H&M

Finally an outfit post! Purple isn't a colour I'd normally go for but for some reason I absolutely loved this lilac dress from Topshop and have got so much wear out of it already. It's so easy to throw on but actually looks like you've made a bit of effort!

Wednesday Wishes

Really lusting after these shoes right now, they're just the right amount of spiky - not like those ones with the huge spikes, I'd end up hurting myself on those. Now if only I had £105 spare.

Kukee.co.uk

I am absolutely loving Kukee right now, I read about the site on another blog and immediately knew I needed to place an order. I bought myself a few bits as soon as payday arrived and will definitely be ordering more.

I'm always on the lookout for a new quirky jewellery site but a lot of them are just out of my price range, Kukee is super cheap though, the ring was only £1.50 and is silver plated. The necklace is no longer on the website but was no more than £3 - bargain!

It also came in a really pretty package which I wouldn't expect from somewhere so cheap, I thought this was a really nice touch. There's so many other items I want to order from there, currently at the top of my list is the  hamsa palm bracelet and the gemstone crystal necklace, although I could write a list as long as my arm!

Collage

I'm absolutely loving these picture collages (is that the right word) at the moment - I've just joined Pinterest and these are pretty much all I've been pinning. The third picture is my favourite here, I love the way they're arranged - I'd really like to try something like this in my hall but I'd never manage to make it look so good. I also don't think our landlord would appreciate me making lots of holes in the wall!

Anyway, here's my own attempt. I've been slowly collecting the pictures over the last couple of years. The edges are so wonky at the moment but I quite like it that way, and anyway when I do straighten them up they end up uneven after a few days! I think its the washing machine that does it!

Twinkle Toes

I was in Leeds at the weekend and spotted these little beauties in H&M and knew they had to be mine. I just couldn't resist the glitter - I don't even know why as I'm not actually that girly. They're so impractical to wear and fall off my feet as I walk but I don't really care because they're so pretty.

As the music fades.

Blouse - George at Asda | T-shirt & Jeans - Topshop

Hi, sorry I've been a bit missing in action lately, I just haven't had much to blog about. I haven't really been anywhere to get dressed up for and my every day outfits aren't usually worthy of a photograph.

Last night I went out for tea with a few friends, we went to a pub in Great Broughton. It's called the Bay Horse - if you're ever in the area you have to go, the food is gorgeous! This is what I wore for that, I felt I needed to dress up this grungy t-shirt a bit so I threw this floral blouse on over the top.

Glitterbug

Do you like my glittery nails? I absolutely love them! I based them on a tutorial that Heather from Effies Makeup Box did a while ago, I thought hers were amazing and really wanted to try them myself. Her's are a lot better than mine but I still love the way mine turned out. I bought 10 different colour glitters from Boyes for 99p so expect to see a lot more glittery nails!

In other news, my car is fixed and cost me a whole £225!! I test drove a new Ford Ka on Saturday though and it was lovely so I'm thinking I'm going to get one of those. Fingers crossed!

Bad Luck.

Shirt - ASOS | Bralet - Primark | Necklace - Charity Shop

I love love love this bralet but unfortunately I had to buy a size 12 so that it would fit my chest - it's huge round the back and I'm constantly pulling it up. Nightmare!

I've had a bit of a shitty week this week - I went to Wigan to see a friend at the weekend and although I had a lovely time disaster struck on the way home. As I drove off I realised my car was making a really strange noise, like a scraping sound, it kind of sounded like I'd driven off with the handbrake on. Anyway, I drove around a little bit and one of my tyres popped! Like completely popped - I have never seen such a flat tyre in my life! It turned out one of the suspension springs had snapped and the spiky bit which was left punctured my tyre. The RAC wanted £301 to tow my car the 118 miles to home so I ended up leaving my car in Wigan and having to organise for it to go to a garage there! So tomorrow I get to go back down to Wigan to pick my car up. I am test driving a new car tomorrow though (my current car seems to be breaking down more and more often) so fingers crossed its a good un.

Models Own Hed Kandi

Models Own Hed Kandi Collection in Hedonist - £5

I know that so many bloggers have posted about this collections but I just need to declare my love for 'Hedonist.' It is literally perfect, I've never seen anything so bright - how do they make it that colour? The only thing is, it dries to a matte finish, for that super pop of neon I needed to use a clear top coat.

Also, I know there's a ring on my wedding finger in the first photo but don't worry I didn't get married (and choose a really strange wedding ring) or anything, I just really liked the ring and it wouldn't fit on any other finger!
